MEET THE ARTISTS
TELMA CASTRO
Telma Castro is a creator, visionary and inspirer. Her creative ideas manifest themselves in several works of art that she has created over the past five years around Strängnäs and Eskilstuna. In painting, reliefs and sculpture, she strives to revive the unbridled, creative, childlike creative ability of adults that most of us had lost for good. She coined the term Parvulism, an art movement that encourages the retention of a spontaneous, inventive and childlike sense of creation.
In addition to visual creation, Telma is also a writer with a great love for interpreting historical events. In her latest book "Versailles - Stockholm, Marie-Antoinette's and Axel von Fersen's love adventure", she portrays history in a playful and humorous way together with her illustrations. In both writing and creating, she always strives to create a positive feeling and instill hope for the future with inspiration from the imaginative world of children.
STANISLAW LUX
Stanislaw Lux, an experienced sculptor, embodies artistic diversity through his work with materials such as wood, concrete, bronze and plaster. With a multicultural network and artistic engagements abroad, he has shaped his artistry.
For the past fifteen years, he has called Eskilstuna home and created a valuable collaboration with children and young people. In his quest for the genuine and authentic, he expresses a desperate longing for Arcadia, where people and nature harmonize with respect and care. He believes in the power of the innocent voice of the child, unafected by cultural pressures, to guide us away from the irrational chaos created by the adult world.
